What do the wallpaper symbols mean?

Our wallpapers are marked with standardized wallpaper symbols. Here are explanations to their meaning.

Light resistance

Water and wash resistant

Pattern repeat

No repeat

When applying the wallpaper, one does not need to pay attention to the pattern.

Straight match with pattern repeat (e.g. 53/0)

The pattern of this example wallpaper repeats every 53cm. When applying to the wall, the patterns are always pasted next to each other at the same height.

Wallpaper with drop or half drop match with repeat and offset (e.g. 64/32)

The pattern of this example wallpaper repeats every 64cm. For each additional strip that is applied to the wall, the pattern is shifted in height by the offset of 32cm each time.


Application

Apply the adhesive to the wall covering (paste the wallpaper).

Removable without residue
The wallpaper can be removed completely dry from the wall

Wallpaper can be split
The upper layer of the wallpaper can be peeled off dry, the lower layer remains on the wall. This is often the case with vinyl wallpaper, as during the manufacturing process the vinyl is often applied to a non-woven backing.

Wallpaper must be removed wet
The wallpaper must be soaked beforehand. In a further step, it can then be removed completely.
